The Inevitability of Truth features Ruth Pastine’s square paintings that engage high-key color juxtapositions, heightening the perceptual experience of emergent light and spatial flux, and introduces the Square Diamond Series to the artist’s oeuvre. Pastine’s solo exhibition inaugurated Edward Cella Art & Architecture’s new gallery space in Los Angeles in September 2015. The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego – MCASD, La Jolla acquired Inevitability of Truth 16-S6060 Square Diamond, 2015 for their permanent collection, and CIM Group Headquarters acquired The Inevitability of Truth Installation 2015 for their corporate collection where it remains on view. The exhibition is accompanied by a full-color catalog with an essay by Sarah P. Hanson and was reviewed by David Pagel in the Los Angeles Times, Sarah P. Hanson in 1stdibs, Rachel Will in Artsy, among others.
