LIGHTSCAPES

The Lightscapes series (2025-26) was conceived for a large, cathedral-like installation, debuted in my solo exhibition, Technicolor Sublime, which featured thirty-nine new works at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art. The development of these large vertical paintings evolved the arrangement for the Blue Lightscapes Triptych. Installed on the main gallery’s center wall, the triptych is framed by Violet, Lightscapes at left and Red Magenta, Lightscapes at right. This layout creates an expanded triptych—deepening my ongoing investigation of site-specific installation as a vehicle for new spatial experiences—and employs the iconographic use of color housed in definitively formal structures. These five panels were featured alongside several other large-scale vertical, horizontal, and square paintings spanning across the museum’s three galleries.
