“INTERPLAY”
Interplay features Ruth Pastine’s Primary Red, Blue, and Yellow Series pastel works on paper that engage the iconic structure of the Suprematist Square format to investigate light and spatial interplay. With the introduction of soft edges between hue and value separations within the pure geometry of the square, the parameters and margins, both structural and ephemeral present a subtle yet complex shifting geometry.
