“PRIMARY RED BLUE SERIES”
Primary Red Blue Series features Ruth Pastine’s pastel works on paper which examine the relationships between light, structure, and perception through the subtle gradations of the artist’s primary color systems and tonal modulations. Within the layers of the hand-drawn surfaces exists a dichotomy between the materiality of surface and the ethereality of light, which informs the tension and content of the work.
