Mind’s Eye: Sense Certainty features Ruth Pastine’s square and vertical paintings from the artist’s Red Green and Blue Orange Series. Investigating the boundaries between object, presence, and phenomena, Pastine engages soft edge banding between the seamless gradients of saturated color, further exploring the dialogue of ‘form versus color’ and the perceptual experience of emergent light and sensation of suspended space. Challenging our preconceptions, Pastine explores the subtle character and nuance of color.
